Dr. Bodi called me this morning and told me that the cancer is just in one spot! I was very happy to hear this news. I am surprised because in my Biopsy it stated possible lymph invasion. Thank you all so much for your prayers and fasting. I know it it helped me. I just finished my finals and I am school free! On Monday I will tell you all about my visit with Dr. Bodi. Thank you Alena

That's great news Alena! I'm so glad it hasn't spread. You're in my prayers, and you've been a great example to everyone through all of this. Love ya!

So what are we doing to celebrate? We have so much to be grateful for...it hasn't spread, finals are over, our patio is almost finished :) This is going to make the race tomorrow even better! Not that it wasn't going to be fun originally... Alena you are still in my thoughts and prayers.

The power of prayer!!! What wonderful news this is. Your strength and faith will get you the rest of the way to a full recovery. The road will be hard, but with all the prayers that are coming your way you will be able to get through this. Anytime you need an ear to listen, a hug, a shoulder, a joke (that's Uncle Bruce) or a smile we will be there. We love you!!! Uncle Bruce and Aunt Carol

Slade grandparents: As we entered your name in the Ogden temple a few days ago, I thought, 'I wonder how many temples have Alena's name sitting on their altars?' You have been in our thoughts and prayers constantly, and we are so happy that things are looking up!
Did Melanie tell you something that I heard an "alternative" guy say a few days ago. He said: If you have to have chemo, the trick is to request "low dose," (you have that right to request)so you don't have the violent side effects. According to him (Burton Goldberg) you still get all the benefits, but don't lose the hair, etc. He wrote the book, "Alternative Medicine--The Definitive Guide." We love you,
